On Tap at the taphouse. Cloudy golden orange with a thin but dense and lasting skin of a head on top. Light fruity aroma, citrus maybe. Quite strong yeasty flavors. Dominate, I’d say. Thick heavy palate, lingering bitter hoppines and more yeast twang. The Rye twist I’m sure is mostly responsible but this just missed the mark. I am all for pushing the envelope and trying variations on existing styles, but this was a big departure from the light crisp refreshing Farmhouse type of Saison I was expecting,
