Had this at The European Beer Festival, Kobenhaven, 12-09-08. Very clean tasting beer with touch of barley wine like character about it. Clingy bitterness little bit sticky, poured copper in colour.

Draught, 8.0% at EBF08. Faint creamy aroma. Hazy dark brown colour. Big stable creamy head. Very malty flavour, slightly citric. OK alcohol level.

Draught Bright-red amber, head fast gone. Liquorice, leafy, bit of ureum. Wry, earthy & leafy; not too much restsugars, just enough for balance. Slick, well-bodied. Good, if unspectacular interpretation of Bock.

bottle SAYS 8% ABV, at work, celebrating first day of real money trades with our stock trading system. fruity, yeasty aroma a little hops too. pours unclear brown, large yellow/brown head. flavor is fruits, caramel, storng flavor of alc. or aged/cellared beer (nice flavor fortunately), honey. overall a decent brew, but it lacks finesse and delicacy.

++Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. ++ Clear amber. Caramelly nose. Sweet and medium bodied. Solid, but lacks malt softness With it’s clean malt the flavour gets shallow. Faint caramel and grass, soem fruits. Herslev can do better.

500ml bottle, thanks to Skinnyviking. Fine dense, off-white foamy head resting on top of a very deep, ruby red body - top score on appearance, no doubt. Moderate smell of dark malt with a touch of spices. Dark fruits and berries on a malty backbone. Moderate to full bodied (shared with Finn Arvid, Copenhagen 20.05.2008).

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of grain, straw, caramel, and berries. The flavor is sweet and very malty combined with notes of grain, caramel, pumpernickle bread, and berries, as well as light notes of alcohol, leading to a dry slightly woody and malty finish.
