Almost black colour with large beige head.Aroma is rosted wirh note of licorice and caramel,nice well balanced and even better then some German Schwartz biers.

Brown, near black with a good lasting tan head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit and a touch of cardboard. Sweet caramel flavour with a chocolate note and again some cardboard.

50cl bottle. Pours dark brown with a creamy brown head and lacings. Nose is sweet and roasted. Some chocolate nd caramel. Dry bitter roast end.

Bottle from Kvickly. Frothy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Very dark red-amber colour. Moderate malty slightly roasted aroma. Moderate bitter chocolate flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Slightly metallic but nice. Oily palate. Deasent schwartz.

Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark. Clear medium red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, milk chocolate, muscovado sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [130908]

(On tap) Pours a warm and almost opaque reddish brown with a fine beige head leaving some lacework. Sweetish roasted malt aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet roasted malt and a dry finish with a slight malt bitterness. Very decent actually. 130908

From tap. Pours dark brown to black with a lacing tan head. Breadish and roasted malty aroma, vague. Flavour is slight sweet breadish. Somewhat vague in flavour. Mild roasted acidic touch into a dry and breadish finish. Lingering annis seed note and dry malty into the far finish.
