Schwarze Farbe mit großer, beiger Schaumkrone. Röstmalziger, malziger Geruch mit Kaffee und Schokolade. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig, spürbar alkoholisch mit Kaffee und Schokolade. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

deep dark brown colour, medium sized creamy beige head; aroma of tobacco, soy sauce, some coffee and cocoa powder; taste has the same notes with intensive dark chocolate; quite enjoyable imperial stout

330 ml bottle. Murky dark brown almost black colour., beige big foamy head. Burnt malts in the nose. Vanilla, toffee, burnt malts, tobacco, caramel, brown sugar, cough syrup. Strong bitterness, medium sweetness, very balanced overall and not too heavy. Oily texture, soft carbonated, full bodied, long bitter aftertaste. High drinkability for an Imperial Stout! Very nice stuff.

Aus der Flasche (Vintage 2014 / bbe 2028-01-08) im 2017-12 getrunken. In den letzten 3 Jahren ist diese IStout richtig gut und sehr balanciert durchgereift. Leckeres Teil!

Bottle @ Hotel Iris, Feldkirchen. Pours very dark brown with a creamy light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, bread, brown sugar, little dark fruit notes. Flavor is sweet, rich malty, caramel, black bread, brown sugar, little fruit, alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish with some alcohol. 150717

Bottle. Pitch black with nearly no head. Some lacing. Aroma of stone fruits, raisins, a little bit of coffee, dark chocolate and a tiny hint of smoke and bacon. Taste is roasted malts, liquorice, molasses, fruits, some coffee and dark chocolate. Not sweet at all. Quite bitter long lasting finish. Medium to strong carbonation. Alcohol is very well hidden. Nice but not one of my favourites.

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is brown malts, chocolate, sugary. Taste is sugary, brown malts, caramel, milk chocolate. Low carbonation. Given that I?ve had the BA versions before and liked them a lot, this is quite disappointing.
