Ratebeer Odense Summer Gathering 2015. Black with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee, with a touch of DMS. Sweet malty flavour with caramel and licorice.

Bottle @ Odense Summer Gathering, 2015. Pours nearly black with a small cremy head and lacings. Roast, cocoa, licorice, salty and ashy. Smooth and full bodied.

0,33 l bottle bought at Grebhan´s, Bremen. Black in the glass, small light tanned head. Berriefruity nose with a lot of coffie. Taste starts with coffie, barrel wood, dark dry malty, nuts, alcoholic. Really complex. Heavy stuff in the land of the boring Reinheitsgebot.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Intense malty aroma. Starts very strong, intense malty, modest dry. Notes of black coffee, some chocolate. Fine bitter background. Finish well balanced, warming-malty. Quite drinkable. A good one!

Dark, bit of foam. Aroma is chocolaty and a bit ashy. Dark fruits with some sweet dried plums. Tastes roasty but not much, not really sweet, somewhat green taste which I actually like. CO2 still there, possible to feel it.

very brown color. Lots of dark chocolate, soy and umami. Medium body with chocolate and soy. Very nice, smooth, but needs more age. Nothing wrong with this, but would like to try after 5yrs.

bottle from @McTapps, European Local swap 2/2015, thanks pours black with minimal head. Aroma malty, cereal, roasty, coffee, chocolate and a little acidity. Taste of medium sweetness, lightly bitter, soft/creamy, bitterness of roasted malts, chocolate, and a coffee dryness. reasonable body, slick and somewhat creamy texture, aftertaste is bit dry. imo a bit of a porter. Smell of tar, coffee, roasted malt, red wine. Black colour, high brown head. Aroma of red wine, nuts, pepper, alcohol. Heavy body, viscous palate. Very bitter, also faintly sour. Midsoft, plentiful carbon.

33cl Bottle at Brecht. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of liquorice, sweet malts, bread, chocolate. Flavour is sweet, roasted malts, liquorice, quite malty, decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. OK.
