330ml from tap@Alus Arsenals, Riga. (22.Dec.2012) Light yellow body with filmy layer on top. Mild hops and malt aroma, flowers and cookies, maybee some citrus notes? Most of all sweet. The taste of artificial acidic lemon overwhelms me. Too carbonated. Reminds most of all of a (bad) Russian lager, but then again there are many Russians living in Latvia...

Smells malty. Some skunkiness. Pours pale watery without much head. A little grain in the taste. Alright for what it is.

Originally rated May 2005. Good foamy lacing and the creamy-fizz head has average retention. The colour of this brew is golden, but with a touch of amber. Quite nice. At first, I could smell euro malt, but then the hop became predominant. Crisp mouthfeel. Smooth start, going to a slight bitter finish. Biscuit afteraste. Non-repulsive lager.

500ml flip-top bottle, as Zelta Premium 5.2% abv., beer gift from Helga. Crystal clear, golden body. Fragile lacing from a airy, chalk white head. Plain grainy malts to the nose. Taste of sweet, bready malts. Dry, sweet fruity end. Minimal hops. Soft carbonated. Standard for the style (shared with Frau Eva, 20.03.2012).

Hay and corn husk aroma. Clear yellow, thick fizzy white head. Malt, corn, cane sugar flavor, slightly sweet initially. Finishes with honey and a hint of vanilla. This beer has some likable characteristics despite the fact that it is a mere pale lager.

My first beer from aldaris. Looks like yer standard pale lager in a mug. No visible C02 while it sits there. Cleaner metallic sterile aroma. No skunk. Good CO2 sizzle on the tongue. Taste is mild, laid back and quite refreshing, better than expected for a baltic. Easy going pleasant beer drinken experience. Even some citrus in the background. Fine finish.

(Can. Thanks to SaintMatty) Golden yellow colour with brief, frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread and tropical fruit. Malty, slightly sourish taste with noets of bread, pineapple, tropical fruit. Medium body, fairly sweet. Some grassy bitterness in the finish (eventually overshadowed by sweet malt). Better balance than the Luksus sampled at the same time, still not very impressive.

Light body, mild citrus taste without much character. A bit of hops towards the finish. Average at best.
