Tap @ Usedomer Brauhaus. Cloudy dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and nutty. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and roasted light bitter finish. 140717

Mild röstiger, schnell intensiver werdender Antrunk. Trocken, geringe Bitterkeit, etwas holzig. Okay, wenn auch monoton. 10/8/8/9//8

Keg at the brewpub, 18/07/15. Mahogany brown with a well appointed beige head that retains well, this bier is a looker ! Nose is caramel, light roast, raisens, dark fruits, light cocoa rub. Taste comprises toffee, light roasted malt notes, dates, toasted brown sugar, cocoa dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Top draw schwarz, great balance and drink ability, never to sweet and nor is it bland and boring like many of its stablemates.

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Looks good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts malty and dry, a bit woody, roasty notes, a bit smokey. Finish well balanced, modest fruity, still malty-roasty, not too dry. Nice!

Bottle 50cl. Sving top @ [ Tasting by Maria ].Clear medium red brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, malt sour - sweet notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Bottled, thanks jeverszeuge! Dark bown, small head. Light aroma of roasty malt. Sweet and light bodied, the vaguest note of chocolate. Finishes quickly with low bitterness. Fairly unremarkable.
