Appearance: Pours a clear amber with a off-white head leaving some lacing
Aroma: Pine and citrus
Taste: Pine and citrus with some malt backbone
Well balanced, very nice. Not over the top hoppy.

bottle thanks to wavers1, Baker you rock! Pours dark hazy carmel with a medium off white head that held all the way down leaving a nice lacing. Aroma is nutty with almond and peanut notes then a nice pine hop comes forward with some floral notes. Flavor is so good. Rich malt profile of biscuit, a very bready almost rye toasted malt, and again nuts. The grainyness is cut by a strong hop bitterness. Lots of evergreen and pine notes, maybe even a little spruce, just tastes green haha. Ends extremely dry, I feel my tongue loose all moisture. This is special stuff. Thanks again Baker for the opportunity to try this fresh!

Bottle at the 10th Richmond RateBeer Gathering courtesy of dkachur on 01/16/2010. Clear copper amber body with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet citrus and light resiny hop aroma with a pale malt background. Sweet citrus and resiny hop flavor, some caramel with a pale malt background. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Aroma: This brew has a really nice hop aroma, citrus and resin mostly, with some earth and pine, and a bit of caramel as well.
Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy orange-brown color with a thin, but lasting head, and some light lace.
Flavor: A really nice hop flavor, bitter and tasty, a little more resiny and less citrus then the nose, a nice malt backbone is there too for some balance, quite tasty.
Palate: This beer is nice though the entire palate, smooth, creamy, and dry, with a full body, along duration, and almost no alcohol burn.
Overall Impression: This is some good stuff. Another good one thanks to Nick, Cali is certainly a state that has many a good beer. This is the first thing I have gotten to try from Valley Brewing, so lets just say they are 1 for 1 for sure. Another really quality IIPA from CA, oh, and I guess this is # 900 for me.

Bottle via a trade with jhenry04. Pours with a hazy amber body and a large white head. Big, herbal and spicy hop aroma with a touch of caramel and alcohol to back up the huge hop notes. Taste is really nicely balanced with floral and herbal hops, nice alcohol and a sweet, nearly fruity, caramel finish. Very nice. Light bubbles, low residual sugars. A very good IIPA!

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Orange-brown, very zippy. An aroma as a dream: very hoppy, quite woody, strong, complex. Tastes very intense, strong-hoppy, very fresh, finish grasy-woody, modest prickly-scratchy. An impressing beer! Big thanks to wavers for that bottle!

Tap at Sacramento Brewing. Pours darkish copper with a near-creamy beige head. Decently strong resin aroma for hop. But there seems to be hints of citrus and floral. Approaching full body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is underlying mild roast caramel but there is a lot of resin, floral and citrus? hop. It’s incredibly hoppy. Finishes quite bitter, but not harshly so. It must be chock full of anti-oxidants.
