Elm Hill Gold was launched in October 2007 to celebrate the opening of our brewery shop on Elm Hill in Norwich. It’s a beautiful, smooth golden ale and makes a great addition to our portfolio. The bitterness and hop aromas blend and balance to make this a very drinkable ale.

Bottle, shared by fonefan. A slightly unclear, golden-orange beer with a layer of off-white bubbles on top. Fruity nose with some chalky, sourish and citric notes. Citrusy, hoppy flavor, low on malts, with pinecones, some chalky notes and a fine bitterness. Quite flat, medium body, a bit astringent. Medium lenght bitter and fruity finish. Yet another English bottle-conditioned going bad, but quite drinkable so far. (080822)

Bottle. Brownish beer with a fizzy head. The aroma is mildy spiced and roasted, and the flavour is mainly toffee with a hopped body and fruity finish. Overall a reasonable beer.
