A crisp and hoppy session bitter. Amber malt provides a pleasant biscuity edge to this pale golden-coloured ale. A blend of English and American hops add a wonderfully floral and citrus-like, long dry finish.

Cask somewhere, maybe at the London Drinker. (Honestly, my notes don’t have the location, but I know I didn’t have this in bottle.) Pours clear gold with a foamy, tough head. Crispy malt nose. Light sweet flavor, good biscuit character, touches of bitter straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Decent finish, kind of flickers out, fades away a bit too quickly. Still, very drinkable and nice. (OK, I’m pretty sure I had this at the London Drinker.)

Cask, half pint at Queens Head, St Pancras. Naked on the top of a clear, amber body. Floral hoppy aroma. Leafy hops in flavour mixed with lighter notes of malty sweetness. Smooth bitterness on the swallow. Above par for a golden ale (London, 19.02.2011).

Cask at the Magpie & Crown, Brentford on 27th November 2009, on the pub’s first visit since reopening after a short closure. Gold with a lasting white head. Refreshing hoppy aromas - grapefruit and grassiness. A pleasant bitter hoppy kick followed by a finish that becomes increasingly bitter. Flavour experience lasting to the bottom of the pint glass. Very flavoursome for its 3.7% ABV.

Cask at BLES Bierhappening 2008, Zottegem, Belgium
Clear, blond body. Off-white, fizzy head. Looks like low carbonated beer. Nice aroma of strong hops and fruit. Moderately bitter initial flavour. Dry, heavily bitter finish of cascade. Good, steady beer.
