Formerly known as Barnstormer.
Rich in fruit with hints of chocolate, we’ve made Barnsey a full-bodied dark ale that is both complex and deeply satisfying.
Barnsey is a truly rewarding and enjoyable beer, carefully brewed using a mix of Maris Otter, Chocolate and Crystal malts together with Bramling Cross hops. Barnsey contains wheat and barley malt.

I really like the look of this beer, poured with a beautiful fluffy head and a deep red colour, almost like a light red wine. Can’t pick much up on the nose, though, just a little bit of malt and that’s it. But the taste is excellent and really refreshing, nice deep flavour of dark malts and hops, slightly dry finish. Really nice bitter, good for everyday drinking.

Bottle that I picked up from Sainsburys, Kidlington, Oxon and consumed in a field at Towersey Festival, Oxon, 28-08-09 Pours dark brown with a filmy beige head. Taste is fruity but also with some chocolate and a touch of bitterness, soft carbonation, its a tasty beer. A6 A3 F7 P3 Ov13 3.2

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild spiced and dense butterscotch. Mild malty, slight caramelish and medium dry butterish with a light spice note. Growing bitterness into a mild spiced finish. Goes a slight breadish malty and vague herbal too into the finish.
