500ml bottle from M&S Shrewsbury. Pours clear gold, large fluffy white head. Aroma is floral and surprisingly sweet. Seems to have a Belgian influence to the taste, or at least the yeast. Floral flourishes with peppery, clove-like moments. However, does seem perhaps a little old. That said, this is probably my final beer from this brewery having recently gone under, so I will enjoy it all the same.

Bottle at home from Beer hawk. A clear golden coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is unusual, spicy floral, cactus, prickly pear, wheat, hints of honey. Flavour is composed of light base grains with some earthy honey, spicy citrus , light veg, Palate is semi sweet and light, slight raw grain, moderate carbonation. Decent.

50cl bottle from Marks & Spencer, Camberley. A pale straw colour with a billowing white head; an aroma of damp straw and Belgian yeast that’s a bit of a shock to the (nasal) system; strong grassy flavour with touch a touch of citrus; and a fresh green hoppy bitterness; before a sweet grainy finish with a trace of honey. A fine blonde beer in the Belgian style, much better than the boring citrusy offerings that are so common nowadays.
