Refreshing, balanced and full of flavour. This is a captivating golden ale, sophisticated in taste and rich in colour. Edinburgh Gold pours deep gold with a white head. On the nose is a complex blend of noble hops and a little caramel sweetness. The taste is medium to light-bodied with continental hops and moderate bitterness providing a pleasing smooth finish.

Creamy white head on a slowly carbonating clear golden coloured body. Minimal aroma of not much. Medium bodied, soft over the tongue with cloying back. Light malt, grain, biscuit & peach tastes with a lightly hopped bitter finish. Nice enough.

I asked about a local brew while visiting a pub in Edinburgh. Edinburgh Gold was offered and I had a pint. Dark yellow-gold in color with a thin white covering. A light smell of grain and hops. The taste was bigger than expected while still subtle. Malt, hops, white bread and just a touch of caramel. Pleasant for a style that rarely gives surprises.

330ml bottle from a Dobbies garden centre; BB 3rd Sep 2020. Drank at home on 29th May 2020 during the virus Lock In. Hazy golden amber pour, with plenty of yeasty sediment floating around, weak white head. Can a beer be 'Like a Belgian'? If so this fits the bill. Yeasty, hoppy aroma, yeasty malty flavour.
