Our eponymous Flower “Pots Bitter” is a blend of some of Hampshire’s finest malted barley with a selection of Challenger, Goldings and Northdown hops. Toffee amber in colour, with a balanced bitterness from the English hops paired with a subtle malted caramel sweetness from the malts, the award winning Pots Bitter is a traditional British beer and is named after the Flower Pots farm where beer was first brewed in the 1830’s.

Cask at the Albion, Winchester - 09/09/12. Mid amber with a small white head that soon cleared to nothing. Caramel and malt on the nose, slight diacetyl tones. Flavour follows nose with a little dark fruit in there, again a tad buttery. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a dry finish. File under ’W’ for whelmed!

Cask at the Hyde Tavern, Winchester. Bright amber with a tight cream head; orangey fruit aroma; intense orange fruit flavour with a pleasantly sharp bitterness leaving a slightly spicy finish. An excellent standard bitter, certainly not "ordinary".

(Cask at GBBF, London, 7 Aug 2008) Copper colour with brief, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of earthy hops and hints of yeast. Malty, fruity taste with orange, apricots, biscuity malt and earthy hops in a fairly bitter finish. Lots of taste considering the low abv. Decent bitter.
