A pale bitter with a pronounced maltiness offset by a delicate hop flavour. Cockfighting was one of the "sports" in the church yard giving rise to the "wicked" epithet. An area on the outskirts of the village, Hathern Turn near the King’s Arms, was the scene of many challenge contests and Daniel Lambert undoubtedly visited here before he reached his legendary weight of 53 stones.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/5/2016. Amber with a slight, off-white, head. A very standard bitter, with a touch of citrus fruits, cereal malts and moderately bitter finish. Fine.
