Dead Rise was brewed to highlight the indelible character of Old Bay through bright and refreshing citrus hop notes and a crisp tart finish. Our brewers worked with the spice experts at Old Bay for over six months to develop the recipe and craft a beer that will quickly earn its spot alongside the iconic yellow, blue, and red tin.

Tasting at Višnja 666’s place. Shared with Goran, Višnja and Marko. Thanks Višnja! 0.33 l bottle. Clear yellow, lasting off-white head. Very spicy, ginger, citrus, fruits. Light metallic, light dry. Light body, soft carbonation, light finish. Good spices, interesting, but not the best.

Bottle from Wine Rack at Yarnton Nurseries, Yarnton, Oxon, consumed at home Sunday 18th September 2016 whilst making potted shrimps. Mid gold in colour, tiny hint of haze. Tastes quite lagery, tastes like minerally pilsner malts, metallic and dry edge, spice is very low, middling bitterness. Ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Thanks Višnja & Goran for sharing this with Hrabren and me! Golden body with a small white head. Light berry aroma, minty, grapes, sweetish. Light minty taste, vaguely bread, perfumey, oregano, ending vaguey herbal and dry. Ok enough, good beer.

35cl Bottle at The Black Smith. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, lemon peel, spice, herbal. Flavour is light to medium sweet, herbal, artificial, quite bitter, spicy, white peel from oranges or grapefruits, very bitter finish. Light bodied. Not great.

Bottle at Damian. Rather high carbonation, well attenuated, slightly salty. Well balanced and quite interesting spicy lemony brew. I could not pick it apart but enjoyed it entirely.

At first hit a nice and fresh pale ale with lots of citrus, but in the aftertaste the spice / seasoning arrives, although quite subtle.

355ml bottle. Clear, golden with a small white head. Sour, herby aroma. Taste is grain, caramel, a little musty. Might have been better if more chilled
