A deep roasted porter with a twist, combining smooth dark malts and the warmth of liquorice root. Expect notes of caramelised sugar and dried fruit, balanced by a touch of spice and warming sweetness.

Cask at Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small tan head. There’s roasted malts and coffee in the aroma plus a hint of lactose. In the mouth it is slightly sweet though a tad watery. Flavour has roasted malts, coffee and liquorice with hints of oats and berry fruits coming through later on. Sweetness lasts into the slightly dry finish. This is decent.
