On nitro tap at City Tap, pours a clear blonde with a large white head. Aroma has lots of spicy rye upfront, with a soft bready malt base and fluffy straw. Flavour is more laid-back but still leads with the spicy rye notes, with a very soft bready malt base. I want more malt and rye aggression in my ESB; pretty timid, albeit unobjectionable.

Pours hazy amber with a 3 inch white creamy head into an English pint after 10 or so mild back and forth upends. Raisin and pumpernickel aromas. Creamy with sweet caramel, spicy rye and dark pumpernickel upfront turning to earthy multigrain in the thin medium length finish. Very nice... this is a best bitter, not an ESB... the commercial description says E = "English" rather than "Extra"...
