Bottle at home, from Amsterdam I’m better times, 7th April 2020. Pours black and slightly over carbonated. Aroma is booze, dark chocolate, liquor. Taste is booze, lots of liquor, barrel, chocolate, bitter, a little rough around the edges, but I like it.

An extremely lovely blend of flavours. Poors pitch black, with brown foam, quite a bit of carbonation. Silky mouthfeel, but not too thick. Bourbon and a hint of peat in the taste, woody, Scotch. Bunch of coffee and cacao as well, a bit of sweetness. Yum.

Erhöhte Karbonisierung. Malzig herber, leicht holzig schokoladiger Beginn. Künstlich nach Vanille, Kakao, mittellanger Abgang. OK, etwas langweilig. 9/9/8/9/8/9

Sampled from 0.375 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before October 2022, cellared for almost two years. Black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and a touch of dark fruits. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty and minimally fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, caramel and hazelnut, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, a bit earthy finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay, not very sophisticated.

Bottle. Black. Malt, roast, raisin, oak and whisky in the aroma. Malty sweet, roasty flavor with coffee, dark chocolate, oak, grassy hops, whisky. Alcoholic, not totally balanced, but with lovely flavors and aromas.

Bottle @ friend. Black with a brown head. Smells and taste is mostly soy sauce and salmiakki. Not the best Imperial Stout. Full body, nice carbo.

375 ml bottle @ home. Black color. Dense brown head with a thin layer retention. Aroma's: barrel, fruit, whisky, wood, umami. Retronasal: whisky, fruit, sweetish, a bit drop/salmiak/umami. Flavor is moderate sweet with light roasty bitterness, wood, drop/umami. Medium bodied. Good carbonation. Long finish wit woody bitterness. Great stuff.
