A super malty number with a nutty twist. A malt profile that showcases flavours of caramel, chocolate, and coffee is augmented by the addition of natural hazelnut extract. Our Hazelnut Scotch Ale is extremely rich and has a very smooth, full body with a long, complex finish.

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours deep ruby, nose is huge hazelnut, toffee, caramel, taste is sweet toffee, chewy, sticky fruit, dry, nutty.

Keg at the brewery. A Cleer reddy chestnut brown coloured pour with a loose beige head. Aroma is sweet nutty malts, praline and jammy fruits, sweet brown sugars, grapey. Flavour is composed of very sweet brown sugars, maple syrup, jammy fruits, woody hazelnut, choc. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation, sticky sweet.. Lingering grape and nut, fruit and nut chocolate. Bit too sweet for. Me..

Keg at The Rake. It pours darkest reddish - brown with a beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, toasted nut, wood, earth, leather, coffee grounds and dirt. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, earthy, wood, bitter - sweet, dried berry, jammy, cherry cola, toasted nut, dried fruits, toasted brown sugar and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.
