Another perennial Oakham favourite. Skilfully hopped with a blend of USA and New Zealand sourced hops and with quite remarkable depth and complexity of aroma and flavour for the ABV.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Very pale gold, thin white head. Initially a bit yeasty on aroma but then the hops pick up. Really good lemony hops. Excellent lemon curd flavours. Just so much better than run of the mill beers. Re-rate Firkin Ale House Folkestone. perfect condition and drinkability that was superb. Demolished 2 pints.

Clear gold beer with a little white head. Slightly sulphurous hop nose. Light dry palate. Light orangey hops but sulphur interferes again. Over dry finish. Expect better from Oakham.

On gravity at Worcester Beer Festival, 14/08/10. Pale gold with a slight, white head. Big, grapefruit hop aroma with a touch of sweetness. Flavour was similar with some added apricot, leading to a long, dry finish. Very good.

Cask at the Farmer’s Boy, St Albans on 11th August 2010. Clear gold and off-white foam giving spots of lacing. Aroma is hoppy with touches of cheese and unobtrusive sulphur notes. Main taste is floral and grapefruit hop with a lovely grassy note, and the finish is dryish on a light mouthfeel. 8/4/8/3/15 Re-rating 2015: Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 22nd August 2015. Gold with almost white lacing head. Malty and finely hoppy aroma. Fine citrus and grass in-mouth. A bitter, hoppy finish. Zingy with a light body.

Cask@St. Radegund, Cambridge. Yellowish golden colour, small head. Aroma is grass, earth, yeast and some mild citrusy notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Not all that pleasant.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus fruit and hops. Tastes hoppy, grapefruit, bitter, crisp and refreshing. Typical Oakham, bags of flavour in a low stength ale. Nice.

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild citrusy and slight peachy. Fruity and mild peachy. Bitter, citrusy and dry finish.

Cask (handpump) @ Wellington (formerly Cask & Cutler), Sheffield, Bedfordshire England S3 8GG. On RateBeer Sheffield "Valley of beer" Crawl 2008. Clear light yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, fruity, citrus shell. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (260708)

Cask at The Wellington, aka ’Cask and Cutler’ Sheffield, ’The Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire’ on the Valley of Beer Day 16-08-08 Pours light gold with thin white head. This is truly excellent for the abv, really good punchy bitter bite to it a numbing clingy bitterness sits on the roof of the mouth, little dryness, its very good and according to the barman selling like hotcakes in this pub with three casks sold in no time at all.
