Vinoble-favrskov clear red amber, smooth lacing soft beige head. Looks great. very untraditional aroma of brown hard cookies, and those spices used in such cookies. dry herbal spicy note. caramel, chocolate. weird aroma. flavor is very chocolatey, also faint coffee, some spices, that makes the beer taste like a coffee-chocolate dessert. Not quite like your usual brown ale, but rather tasty anyways. the oatmeal used adds with its softness and sweetness to the dessert character of the beer. A little weird, but it escapes being cloying as the end and aftertaste are mostly roasted stuff, coffee and dark unsweetened chocolate. Interesting!.

Draught at the brewpub in Aalborg
Dark amber to red-chestnut color. It has a very nice aroma of chocolate and cappuccino. Medium bodied, it has a surprising chocolate and caramel flavor, with shades of coffee; correct bitterness. Almost like a cold chocolate-coffee drink. Very original, extremely positive.

On tap at the brewpub. A brown hazy beer with a small, beige head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma, a bit weak but very mellow. Mellow flavor too, with coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, some caramel and a touch of fruits and bitterness. Medium body, really smooth and with a nice carbonation level. Finishes in the same way it started, a bit short maybe. Drinking the beer is like walking into a chocolate and coffee shop, and sure one of the best from Søgaard. (081022)

Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt and caramel. Sweet finish like a danish hvidtøl like papsoe writes below.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear warm orangey brown with a creamy beige head. sweetish roasted malty nose. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt and caramel. Odd coconut flavour. No fruitiness - is this really top fermented?? Subdued bitterness. More like an amped up Danish table beer (hvidtøl). Added hazelnut flavour - what the fuck?? I thought for a while there that Søgaard was moving in the right direction, but this really is quite pathetic. 050808
