Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, whiskey, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, dust, over ripe fruits, and oxidation. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yalnikim. Pours an almost clear orangey brown with a creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Whisky aroma – rather than Bourbon – with roasted malt accents. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt, vanilla and some oak also. The finish is soft with a very subdued bitterness. 190608

Bottle. Papsoes MadsBerg homecoming blindtasting, bottle #30. Pours almost clear and golden deep amber with a slowly collapsing tan head. Dense malt aroma with overripe fruit. Flavour is dark malt flavoured with a mild fruity touch. Quite light bodied. Holds smooth chocolate and mild vanilla note too. A bit oldish in flavour though. Ends with a mild roasted note, light alcohol presence and a subdued bitterness.

Unlike the whiskey, which has settled for a few years, this bottle was relatively fresh and wow what a difference in the character. The bourbon is right in your face. Critize if you want, but I have had enough JD and coke in my life to have a very good idea what it tastes like and it is no insult to this beer whatsoever, but your sure as hell could trick some people to believe its actually JD and coke. The amazing thing is the body is so light, but the ABV is so high. A truely unique beer that should be drank fresh.
