Biggish offwhite shiny lasting head with some bigger bubbles. Brownish red body. Perfumy malty aroma with artificial notes of wild berries. Sweetish perfumy malty taste, again with artificial berry notes. Clean, smooth mouthfeel, faintly buttery. Dry papery aftertaste with roasty notes. Didn’t really enjoy this. (0.33l can from Ica Gourmet, Aker Brygge, Oslo.)

Can. Pours a deep golden, clear body, with a small, off-white head. Sweetish, malty and quite fruity nose with a touch of caramel. Medium to thin mouthfeel that is a bit fizzy. The flavor is slightly grainy, and has some caramel and fruity hops leaving some bitterness. Slightly sticky sweet finish with malt and hops. For a dark lager, it is very uninteresting, but at least it is drinkable. Even though it doesn’t seem so judging by my ratings, I think I will prefer it’s paler sibling. (071118)

330 ml slimline can. ABV is 4.7%. Brewed with ecological (organic) ingredients. Pale brown colour, more like a Vienna than a dunkel ("bayer" in Norwegian) which it claims to be. Decent white (okay, maybe off-white) head. Moderate aroma with some fruity notes, also weak notes of caramel and malts. Moderate carbonation in the glass, soft and thin mouthfeel. Bland flavour, some caramel and malts, minimal hops. Easy drinking, but certainly no masterpiece.

Organic beer first released in early October 07 as a part of the new Fluid series from the brewery. Comes in a four-pack with 330ml red cans. Pours an attractive deep brown body. Short lived head reduced to a circular edge, but leaving lasting lacing on the glass. Slightly dark malty aroma. Flavour is a mixture of dark chocolate and sweet caramel malts followed by roasted grainy hints and welcoming tart fruits towards the finish. Smooth and easy to drink. A bit thin palate. Does not quite match the standard Bayer Øl from the brewery (Tromsø, Oct.07).
