The carbonation keeps chunks of pulp floating up and down like a hazy lava lamp. The hops and orange pulp make for some pretty bitter notes - it tastes of orange peel and citrus but also caramel and lots of salt. In fact the dominant aroma is salted caramel rather than the orange. It's the salt that lingers longest, and the alcohol certainly makes its presence known in your throat. It's not the perfect beer, but it's a really great effort at something that's genuinely different.
