Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Light sour malt aroma, nice fitting orange notes. Amber orange with floaties, nice golden head. Fruity orangezest flavour, light berry-notes, good hops, very good balance, orange-cookie finish. Nice.

(swing top bottle) Hazy, amber coloured hue with a massive, lacey slightly off-white head. Well-balanced caramel-malty and spicy herbal hoppy aroma with hay-like and subtle fruity notes (lemon), accompanied with a rural touch of barnyard in a very pleasant way. Moderately sweet flavour with a bitter edge, medium bodied with a well-matured mouthfeel. Slightly toasted malty and bready taste with subtle fruity notes; lasting slightly sweet malty finish with a dash of bittering herbal hops. Superb and well-crafted Bock.

Bügelverschlußflasche (purchased at the Brauerei): Deep golden to light amber coloured, a bit unclear, stable, lacy off-white head, juicy bready-malty nose - with a touch of toasted malt - and a good dash of spicy hops; very solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; a tinge of barnyard in the robust hoppy and bready finish. A very pleasant country Bock..........

Huge and tenacious orange-ish, very creamy head, fed by fine but lively carbonation from hazy orange-amber beer with a reddish éclat . Rich nose with the curious combination of dark bread and oranges. Dry, autumn leaves, mossy, sligthtly bready or wholemeal, chicory-like hops for flavours. Finishes slightly meaty, even a bit smoky. Bock at 6.5% ABV, but with a depth few Doppelbocks could equal. Dry aftertaste, still with aromatic, easy bitterness. Where do they get these heavenly malts? It’s absolutely stunning - the proof that Belgian Strong ale or Barley Wine - like depths can be attained by Reinheitsgebot bottom fermenting techniques. ToddA’s favourite, he’s told me. I can see why, thanks, Todd!
