Draught at Brewpub København. Hazy, straw liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of citrus, banana, clove, wheat and ginger. Is this supposed to be a hefeweizen? Taste is dry and medium bitter with notes of biscuits and banana. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Very mediocre.

Draught at the brewpub. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Strange astrigent light bitter flavor. Average finish. Oily palate. Not pleasent.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear and golden yellow with a chalk white and creamy head, slowly collapsing. Mild yeasty, wheat and ginger aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Flavour holds the classic Brewpub house character of a light brewmash note and mild yeasty. Medium to dry flavour with a mild caramel note and quite some bitterness. Flavour holds quite some ginger. Slight declining bitterness towards the finish.

Draft. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has strong notes of ginger as well as lighter notes of dusty hops, citrus, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of ginger, so much ginger, that it dries out the toungue towards the finish - too much ginger for my liking. The body is a bit light.

(On tap) Slightly hazy golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. Sweetish perfumy nose - but not distinctly gingery. Medium body with a soft mouthfeel, sweetish malt and fruit and a somewhat astringent finish with some earthy elder accents too. The ginger is far too downplayed and doesn’t really make this any more interesting than the original Monroe version. Served too warm also. 090608
