500ml bottle. Quasi black colour with very weak, ruby shimmer and minimally late awakening, average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty, minimally chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of pumpernickel. Taste is slightly roasty and minimally grainy, dark malty, sweet-ish, caramel malty and mildly bitter hoppy, hints of pumpernickel, some chocolate, caramel, a touch of treacle, minimally metallic overtones; weak roasty bitterness, mild hop bitterness. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, minimally dry and repellent palate, medium, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Balanced and surprisingly quaffable - pretty decent.

Bottle looks very simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts mild, roasty malty, not too intense. Light sweetish hints. Finish well balanced, soft-malty. Not bad!
