200ml small bottle, 4.1%ABV. Thanks to KnutAlbert for this new year’s gift. Fragile lacing from an airy, tan coloured head. Near-black body with a shiny ruby tint. Aroma of roasted malts. Roasted dark malts in flavour with hints of nuts and liquorice. Dry, and more sweet than bitter in the finish. Thin, but not watered. Rather tasty, I would say (at home in Tromsø on a Friday eve, 14.01.2011)

Bottle from Ledgers Liquor. Pours dark brown with ruby notes and a huge fine, foamy beige/tan head. Aroma of darkly roasted/toasted malts. Medium body with smooth carbonation. The flavor is smokey. The flavor is dark roast malt. There’s coffee. There’s something nutty. It’s neither sweet nor bitter - except for the coffee bitter aspect. Damn this is surprisingly good. Just excellent.

Bottle claims only 4.1% Medium, dense & slightly irregular beige head over deep dark, red-brown beer. Very sweet, syrupy nose with roasted & toffee notes - like Haagse Hopjes , roasted grains and scorching waffle syrup. Very slow upcoming coffee taste, or even Ersatzcoffee, but practically devoid of any bitterness. Roasted sugar, cardboard. Very light, near empty palate, bit fizzy, dry. If I had gotten this blind, without any foreknowledge, I might have hazarded a third world, home-manufactured Cola alternative...
