Shared 75cl bottle. Dark, nutty brown with a thick off white head. Sweet caramel aroma with some coffee and chocolate. Flavour is broadly similar, not hugely exciting and definitely more brown ale than Dubbel

Bottle, 750 ml, courtesy of Domagoj. Shared with him and rest of the crew. Pours brown with tan head. Caramel, malty, some sugar, fruity notes, some banana. Moderate sweetness. Not a particularly good Dubbel.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours cloudy brown with a medium head. Aroma is caramel and toasted malts, rather dirty. Body is medium and super malty, but still bitter. Almost none of the typical dubbel features. Not a beauty.

At the 8th tasting (round 1), held at Vlada Beerville pub in Belgrade-Serbia. Pours chestnut skin color quite cloudy, bottle bottom with some little ivory foam. Nose: some dry fruit, sweet molasses, yeast (bottom?). Mouth: Rough confusing, sweet-sour notes, bit watery. Meh

Bottle at Taste Firenze. Brown with a pretty head. Aroma of chocolate malts and spices. Light body, big chocolate flavor, spices and a dry finish. Nice, could have a thicker body.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a rim of orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and caramel, as well as light notes of wood. The flavor has strong notes of caramel as well as light notes of prunes, cinnamon, and alcohol, but also with an edge of acidity, leading to a dry bitter and woody finish. Huge thanks to yespr for sharing.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy orangey brown with a small and bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel and nuts. Medium body with a bubbly almost violent carbonation. Some notes of burned caramel, nuts and English toffee. Dry and lightly hoppy finish. Appears more British than Belgian to me. 290508
