Bottle #3: 75 cL bottle. Pours dark and unclear brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma is mild spiced and malty. Light initial fizzy mouthfeel. Solid bitterness lurking through a rather spiced malt base. Solid dry bitterness into the finish.

Good yellow-brown head; coca-cola coloured beer. Oxydized, portwine-like nose, vinous, dark raisins, pearester. Roastedd, but mainly sweet beer; very, very ’t Anker-like; maybe just a tad more bitterness (but not distinctive), in the finish. Very velvety, alcoholic/warming MF. This is some kind of Gouden Carolus clone to me. But not better.

Cloudy chestnut color. It would be a simple Belgian Dubbel, with the caramel flavor but a bit on the dry side and without the yeast special touch. There is a touch of honey. Low bitterness. This is becoming quite common in the Italian panorama.
2007-03-23, bottle at Salone Della Birra Artigianale e di Qualità, Milan, 7-4-8-3-15=37
Brown color; creamy head. Alcoholic nose, caramel, nuts, fruit kernels. Good body structure, good malt and roasted malt crescendo. Low bitterness; traces of liquorice.
