Tysk inspireret dobbeltbock. Mørkebrun maltfyldig og kraftig lagerøl. Her er ikke tale om “tynd-øl”, men virkelig en smagfuld og meget kraftig maltet “Buk-øl”. Flot brun skumtop og med duftnoter af portvin, karamel og dadler.

Bottle from my dad. Pours dark brown with beige head. Light, caramel aroma and taste with some nuts, figs, some roast. Well balanced and drinkable but far from the best in style.

Deep ruby colour with a beige head. Sweet malty, mild coffee and a bit fruity nose. Flavor are about the same; sweet caramel malty, mild coffee and some roasted notes. Also light fruity. A bit to sweet for my likings. Otherwise ok.

Bottle shared by dad @ mum’s birthday. Medium to dark brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through, full sized creamy off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, some sweetness, lightly a touch of dark chocolate and slightly roasted malts. Full body, soft yet suitable carbonation. Very nice doppelbock imo. Kind of a mix between a doppelbock and a stout.

Bottled. Mahogany colour, rich head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Warming with deep caramelly flavours. Low bitterness, Just loads of caramel.
