An Old World beer with a New World edge. British chocolate and crystal mlats are balanced with smooth, controlled bitterness from American Columbus hops.

Bottle bought at Brewer’s Droop, Bristol. Dark brown with a short-lived, tan, head. Plain chocolate and blackcurrant aroma, with a touch of roasted maltiness. Easy drinking, with a prickle of carbonation on the tongue, more fruity sweetness and chocolate, leading to a gentle finish. A good debut beer.
