Can at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 1 - 01/03/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is caramel, vanilla, yeasty, pear drops, grain, grass. Taste comprises cereals, light caramel, earthy, paper. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Mediocre stuff.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, floral, grain and metal. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long metallic and grain finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Can. A clear, dark golden beer topped by a small, white head. The aroma has a little grassy, resiny hoppyness, with some caramel maltyness. It’s pretty dry on the palate, with a decent carbonation level. Nice bitterness, and some grassy and resiny hops. Caramel finish with a lot of metal. Well, it’s not all bad, but it’s way too metallic. 140301

Boks 0,5l drukket umiddelbart etter det offisielle slippet på Tromsø Ølfestival 15 Aug 13 kl. 2000. Mørk gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum som varer. Klassisk maltaroma. Smaken litt søt mais. Sødmen holder seg. Litt uvariert. Ølet ligger tett opptil en langvarig favoritt fra Ølhallen: Blanding.

Small bubbly shortlasting head. Nothing "dark" about this one. Aroma is kind of strange sweet, caramel malts, nuts, sugar, almond cake, hay, hints of chocolate. Taste is neutral and watery, caramel malts, dough, hay, nuts, sugar. Little bitterness, very thin body. NEXT!!

500ml can from my local Prix store. Pours a bright copper coloured body with a lasting off-white head. Rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of mild brown malts supported by a little touch of dark spices. The taste profile contains brown and black malts joined by herbal hops and dried fruits towards the ending. Very smooth, almost velvety mouth feel. More than just satisfying (Tromsø 28.09.2013).
