Cask at Cross Keys, Chester (as ESB). Pours reddish brown with a medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and a sprinkling of traditional hops in the aroma. In the mouth it is smooth, creamy and slightly sweet. The old school hops are still there, along with autumn fruits and hints of spices and pear drops. Finish is sweet and fruity. This is very nice indeed.
