0,5 bottle from SPAR supermarket, Sæby nearby the brewery. Orange-brown hazy colour - quite dark for a IPA. Off-white, lasting head. Lively carbonation that quickly fades. Lots of chocolate malts and citrusy hops in the aroma. The taste is a mixture between the malts (chocolate) and the hops (citrus, grapefruit). Medium body, bitter finish dominated by the hops. A nice beer.

Hazy dark orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is caramel, yeasty and rather hoppy - grapefruit and peach. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and bitter finish. A good beer but far from Hornbeers best. 100311

50cl Bottle at The Good, The Bad & The Ugly tasting. Hazy dark amber colour, off white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, light floral, citrus, grapefruit. Flavour is sweet, grapefruit, liquorice root, caramel, earthy bitter finish with lingering liquorice root. Light to medium bodied, a bit too thin at times to be really great. Nice nevertheless.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 9 Oct 2010) Reddish amber colour with creamy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with black-currant, caramel and citrus. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, caramel, grapefruit and black-currant. Solid citrussy, piney bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Solid and well made IPA with a generous hop character. Very nice.

Biggish beige lasting head. Deep red body with small particles. Wooden oily lacquer aroma with spicy treacle notes. Dry-sweet and faintly acidic wooden lacquer taste with spicy peppery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Bitter yeasty lacquer aftertaste with earthy muddy notes. Now this was a real mess. Infection? Yeast issues? Anyway, need to rerate. (0.5l bottle, ?, BBD 2013-03-22.)
