Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a dark mahogany with minimal off-white head and good lacing. The nose has roasted malts and milky coffee. Whilst in the mouth coffee predominates. There’s also roast malts, vanilla and cola. After a while some bitterness appears also. Coffee again in the dry finish. This is a decent beer, but a coffee porter isn’t really appropriate for a boiling hot day !
