Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a golden amber with minimal white head. Not much of an aroma – just vaguwe hints of autumn fruits. Grains and autumn fruits again in the mouth, plus some hints of hops and a caramel base. Finish is slightly malty. Decent but not very exciting. Personally I would call this a bitter rather than a golden ale.
