Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours an almost murky lemon yellow with minimal white head, but good lacing. There’s not much of an aroma - just a vague air of tropical fruits. Initially quite sharp in the mouth but becomes much sweeter later on. Flavourwise it is mainly grapefruit and lemon with some general citrus and traces of mango. Finish is bitter lemon (yuck !). More of a pale ale than a steam beer. Eminently forgettable.
