Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. As Stern 1872 Export. Grainy malt aroma with notes of straw and bittering noble hop. Lightly sweet, moderate bitter. Medium body. Nice clean Lager, can't fault this.

Light hoparoma with a hint of matl. Hopbitter flavor, also with metal (not a surprise, it’s the Ruhrgebiet!) Medium bodied with a touch of malt character. No more than decent.

Metallern herber Antrunk, der sich leider im Mittelteil fortsetzt. Süßlich bitter, minimal grasig. Zum Ende frischer und hell würzig, doch noch trinkbar. 8/6/7/8/6/7

bottle, donated by MoritzF1 Clear golden colour with a large white head. Pleasantly malty with a nice hop profile. Floral aromatic hops dominate over a solid malty background. Nice.

(bottle) Pale strawy colour with a small frothy white head. Malty aroma with a sourish note and some grassy hops. Weak malty flavour with an unbalanced hoppy finish. A decent industrialised Export.

Bottled: Slightly malty nose, a bit grainy, grassy; straw colour, thin white head; smooth, the malty notes dominate, only a tinge of bitterness in the nearly non-existant aftertaste. Not necessary to sample it again......
