Gravicask, third at Swindon's 33rd Annual Beer Festival. Shared with Finn. Filmy layer leaving rings of lace down the glass. Clear chestnut coloured body. Moderate malt-fruity aromas. Biscuit, caramel and ripe fruity notes to the taste buds. Bittersweet, short-lived ending. Quite alright. (26.10.2019).

From cask at the Dove Street Inn Spring Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours pale chestnut brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, hop, and light fruit. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Toward medium body, slight oily watery texture, soft carbonation. Finish is dry, moderately bitter and fruity.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear copper, thin short-lived white head. Aromas of stewed apples, toffee, nuts. Taste is more nuts and toffee sweet. Light bitterness comes through eventually. Thin finish. Yep, old-fashioned bitter.

Bottle conditioned 500ml. BBD 30 Sep 15, carefully poured into a UK pint sleeve on 13 Aug 14. Amber body with a copper hue, small off-white head. Malt base and front in both the nose and taste, semi-sweet molasses drown out the hop content but this is not overly sweet, I liked it. Mild nutty flavours in between the toffee and caramel feel to the brew, medium bodied and nicely put together.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Deep amber color, small beige head. Aroma is nuts, caramel and diacetyl. Nutty hoppy flavor with some caramel. Aftertaste has nutty hoppy bitterness. I didn’t like so much about aroma, but flavor is pretty ok.
