Rye Barrel Ol' Rugger was aged in Willett rye barrels. Our Russian Imperial Stout is a nod to our friend Lynn Harvey and the great sport of rugby. Big and bold with notes of tobacco, molasses, dark fruit, vanilla and chocolate make this a beer that exemplifies a Rugger and Zaftig. As the say, "Never let good enough BE enough".

Sample at the taproom. Brown-black pour with a thin beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Aroma of malt, vanilla, chocolate and oak. Full-bodied with flavors of spicy rye bourbon, oaky vanilla, dark chocolate and roast malt. The finish is oaky with a rye and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.
