This year we pulled Heaven Hills Bourbon barrels full of GRIEVOUS ANGEL imperial stout that we filled four years ago. When we finally sampled these barrels, the beer had a rich chocolate aroma that dives through the flavors of smooth, sweet vanilla bourbon & dried dark fruit, with a mild touch of char. Warming alcohol in the finish has smoothed and balanced out with the residual sweetness of the beer. Enjoy at 50°F for the most chocolate-forward experience.

Draft at Varietal. Nearly black with a thin brown head. The smell of vanilla and bourbon barrel is outstanding. Good depth of flavors with a heavy roast, earthiness and faint bitters to balance with the vanilla and bourbon sweetness. Excellent beer.
