Notes of citrus, spices, caramel in the nose. Very complex. Sometimes vanilla.
Full bodied and complex, sweet, followed by and explosion of flavours.

Clear dark amber with tiny off white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with caramel, ripe fruits and toasted malt. Sweet fruity flavor with caramel, toasted malt, yeast and spicy notes.

Bottle at Aarhus beerfestival. Pours golden with a white lasting head. Aroma & taste is yeast, fruits & hops. Some spicyness as well. Full bodied & long end! Quite nice!

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy nice aroma. Powerfull bitter flavor, loads og nice fruity esters. Average finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle 75cl. Clear medium orange amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, plum, sugar, apple ? alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (020408)

750 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville. Pours an orange-yellow color (looks kinda neon actually). Good head and lacing. Aroma of yeast, citrus and sugar. Taste is more of same with some caramel thrown in. Underwhelming.

Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a small orange-white head. The aroma was fruity and sugary honey and orange. The flavor was orange zest, honey, caramel and light spices with the usual Unibroue yeasty and bready undertone. The finish was long and citrusy. Very interesting.

750 ml bottle served as the transition beer between the Entree and dessert at the Free State 19th Anniversary Beer Banquet. Pour is brown-orange, with visible yeast and a decent sized white head. Aroma of fruit (apples, oranges) spiciness and of course the Unibroue yeast. Taste is mostly the fruit sweetness, though not quite the sharp apple perceived in the nose, a bit more muted in the taste. The finish was clean and crisp. Overall a nice, interesting, beer.

Quite and effervescent, hazy orange beer, with your requisite gigantic, frothy, unibroue head - very yeasty aroma, quite common with most of their beers, along with overripe apples and pears, some orange peel and spices, candi sugar sweetness - much drier than the aroma suggests - earthy fruit peel flavor (apple skins, orange peel) and vegetal qualities - bitter citrus pulp and strong spiciness - light notes of wildflowers and a bit of honey far in the back - the bitter fruit flavors clash with the other qualities of the beer, though - actually quite different for unibroue, but not in an entirely good way.

0.75L bottle pours hazy dirty orange with three inch off white head. The aroma is of fruity grapes, sweet Granny Smith apples, plums, tart lemons and sugar. The taste is much the same with various fruits like sweet grapes, sweet apples and plums that get quickly cut by tartness and hints of spice. Near the finish there’s hints of yeast, tartness and a hint of coriander.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish tan colour head that stays afloat pretty nicely. Aroma shows strong malt, wheat, yeast, curacao, spices and a bit of bourbon. Medium-bodied; Strong yeastie and malt flavours with a good orange finish. Aftertaste has more of the same, very mild in comparison to other Unibroue beers. Overall, a pretty good beer that I found very drinkable, even in summer months. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Sam’s Wine & Liquors in Oklahoma City on 07-August-2007 in OKC.
