This is a non carbonated beer. Clean and well balanced, Don has enticing aromas of black walnuts, coco and spices, followed by flavors of ripe cherries, plums and dark chocolate. Definitely a sipper, made to expand the idea of beer.

16 oz. stubby bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany, no head other than a few bubbles. Aroma is intense as hell, with lots of leather, spicy rye, port and calvados, and a touch of bourbon. Flavour is more like a spirit, with intense calvados and port notes, boozy bourbon, lots of spicy rye, and some dark sugars. Well, this is quite something; that barrel combination somehow works, and it's not too boozy despite the flat carbonation. Very tasty in small amounts, as per a spirit.
