Bottled. Golden with almost no off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma with alcohols. Sweet and malty flavor with some fruityness and lots of alcohol after a while. The alcohols overpowers the hops in the finish, making this one a typical danish pre-y2k strong beer. Alcohol but not balance. Can it be stored for more balance and less killing alcohol-flavors? Anyway, if your idea of Christmas is to get loaded, you should try Hancock Julebryg. (060110)

(Bottle 33 cl) Golden - pretty close to a standard pilsener - in colour, without much head. Completely dominated by a thick, sticky sweetness that comes close to making you puke. They must have emptied the sugar bowl in this - several times. Towards the end some hops pop up in the stickiness - but not enough to balance this off. Very prominent alcohol. Close to being unacceptable. 131299

Light copper hue; strong alcohol and candy apple nose; stiff shot of alcohol opens the palate. There is some malt underneath, but you do kind of have to look for it. "Beware the local firewater."

Orange-amber color; poor head. Lightly malty and fruity aroma (light banana and more...). Warming, alcoholic, pretty sweet; some malt, caramel and a strange but interesting fruitness. The bitterness just balances the body sweetness, but dominates the strong and long final. Like a Bush, but a bit fruiter.

A light amber beer with a small head. The aroma is filling with notes of sweetness, alcohol and spice - typical for strong beers of the pilsner type. At first it fills the mouth and prickles the tongue - very nice - but then the alcohol hits you - and then it''s too much. It is overwhelmingly sweet with no bitterness to balance it of. I''m not a fan of this beer.
