Joda, kanskje litt hardt krydderpeg i en retning jeg ikke forbinder med jul, men ellers ikke ille

500 ml bottle @ Patricks . Amber body with a big off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel and Christmas spices. Flavor is sweet malty, some caramel and Christmas spices. Medium body and decent aftertaste with some bitterness. OK, moderate spiced Christmas ale but nothing really special.

1st September 2010
Cloudy amber beer, little white head. Spicy malt nose. Light crisp dry palate. Dry malt, a little creamy with pinches of cinnamon and cloves. Bitter orange hop. Creamy malt as well. Finishes dry. Not bad for it’s style - ’coz spiced Christmas Ales are not a favourite. This one is drinkable.

500 ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes generously provided by Rune for Beer session XVIII 030112. Nice-looking bottle with simple label design. Slightly unclear dark amber body with dense off-white head that soon disappears leaving some fragmented lacing. Stunning bouquet of freshly baked raisin and saffron buns, cardamom and citrus peels. Flavour resembles aroma but struggles to keep up and even if there are clear hints of spices and fruit here as well the taste of dried wheat dough is too dominating. Feels comfortable in the mouth and is satisfying to drink. Certainly quite a well-balanced brew.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma with strong hints of coriander. Sweetish malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel finish.

Bottle shared with ClubGonzo. A cloudy amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is spicy with cardamom being the most dominant, which actually reminds me of pasta. Hint of vegetables. The flavour is also spicy with cardamom and pepper being the most expressed. Medium bitterness which stays. Some slick mouthfeel. A one of a kind christmas ale which gets better for each sip.

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Gyldenbrunt. Litt uklart.

0.5l bottle. This one pours a deep clouded copper body with a nice big and kinda lasting light fluffy off-white head that's lacing nicely down the glass. The aroma has some spicy hints, malts, a good dash of hops, perhaps some caramel and citric lime tones. It's average carbonated and it has a mild smootly oily mouthfeel. Flavors also lightly spiced with a good bitterness towards the finish. Quite balanced actually and the spices cuts through quite blended so it's hard to tear them apart. Yeah, a nice Christmas ale.
