Originally brewed in 2007. Re-brewed in 2021.

We’ve done a lot over the years at Dugges, and decided to take a look in our old recipe book again. And, guess who we found? Bollox! This IPA deserves to take the front seat again so we brewed it again. It’s hopped with all the Centennial we could find, making it oh so 2007. Do you remember?

So, time has come for a walk down memory lane. And, what better beer to bring out again than this one? Bollox! was one of the first beers we brewed, so we decided to take it back for one more go. Bollox! is like that old friend of yours that you haven’t seen in a while, but is always there. Steady. It’s a straight-forward, no-messing-around-kind-of-beer. Hopped with Centennial it has a fresh and sweet tone, with just the right amount of bite to it.

En fullproppad och mättande "India Pale Ale" med frukt och sommaräng i aromen. Bitter-, smak-, arom- och torrhumlad med massor av härlig Centennial.

No bullshit, this is the bollox!

Bottle. A hazy, copper-orange brew with a small off-white head. Piney and malty nose with some alcohol, a touch of fluor. Quite hoppy flavor, more on the hoppy side than the aroma is, but still with a nice malty sweetness. Pine and fluor as well. Full-bodied, almost astringent mouthfeel. Lovely bitter finish, citrusy and piney. The alcohol is quite evident, making it feel like it’s stronger than 7.8%. (080530)

Hazy amber with a lasting white head. Strong aroma of classic American hoppiness, grapefruit and pine, with caramel malt in the background. Rather dry malty flavour with a hoppy bitterness and a sugary sweet note that’s not so good.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Slightly hazy dark reddish brown with a creamy and lacing yellowish/beige head. Fat and somewhat rustic hop aroma that isn’t completely pleasant - has an odd whiff of vegetables. Quite full-bodied with loads of caramel in the base and a somewhat dusty edge. Solid bitterness in the finish. But overall quite nice in spite of my complaints. 060608

Tap at "Den Tatoverede enke" , CPH: Pours amber red with a white head & lacings. Hoppy aroma: soap, flowers & pine. It also has an ashy or a bit dusty edge. A bit of caramel balances it well. Bitter hoppy lasting end! Very drinkable!

Draught, 8%. Soapy, citric aroma from the hops. Clear dark brown, chestnut colour. Creamy, very stable light brown head. The flavour is also soapy, a little perfumy. The hoppiness gets a little sour and rough in the finish. Seems a little green, I think I would enjoy it more after a year’s cellaring.

Draught@SBWF 2007
Copper brown color, off-white brownish creamy head. Barnyardish fruity aroma. Medium-bodied, malty, grapefruity IPA - brewers said that single Chinook-hop is used here. Makes this more session beer than High Five! Less character though ...
