Originally brewed in 2007. Re-brewed in 2021.

We’ve done a lot over the years at Dugges, and decided to take a look in our old recipe book again. And, guess who we found? Bollox! This IPA deserves to take the front seat again so we brewed it again. It’s hopped with all the Centennial we could find, making it oh so 2007. Do you remember?

So, time has come for a walk down memory lane. And, what better beer to bring out again than this one? Bollox! was one of the first beers we brewed, so we decided to take it back for one more go. Bollox! is like that old friend of yours that you haven’t seen in a while, but is always there. Steady. It’s a straight-forward, no-messing-around-kind-of-beer. Hopped with Centennial it has a fresh and sweet tone, with just the right amount of bite to it.

En fullproppad och mättande "India Pale Ale" med frukt och sommaräng i aromen. Bitter-, smak-, arom- och torrhumlad med massor av härlig Centennial.

No bullshit, this is the bollox!

From tap at Den Tatoverede Enke. Pours hazy orange/amber/brown with a lasting light brown head. The head leaves nice curtains on the glass as I drank it. Caramel and fruity hops makes out the aroma. Mouthfeel is soft and low carbonated. Caramel flavour with a fruity twist. Slight citric flavour blending nicely with a slight subdued sweetness. Finish is quite citric and bitter. Very nice.

Draft. A dark amber beer with a medium brownish head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of toffee and bisquits as well as grassy and grapefruity hop notes and hints of cinnamon. The flavor is sweet malty - a very complex flavor - with notes of toffee, bisquits, spices, hops - giving it a sharp citrusy and grapefruity note, and spices - especially cinnamon, leading to a dry bittter finish. Just a bit too much for my liking.

Bottle RBESG07 quite late on, and while my palate was not at its best this beer managed to cut through that and still shine. (a must to try again on a cleaner palate.) Ruby colloured ... high sharp hop nose ... very fruity ...very juicy ... delicious ...

Dark amber color with red hue; creamy head. Great hop aroma, a bit fruity, green hops. Good body strength, very good malt and caramel taste, with strong hopping, well aromatic and with hop oils; low carbonation (luckly! It allows to perceive full flavors). Excellent.

Draught@The Rover, Göteborg. Dark amber colour, creamy beige longlasting head. Aroma is flowery hops, some grass and a bit of fruits and yeastyness (?!?). Flavour is flowery hops, some fruityness and extreme grassyness. The grassyness was just too much for me...

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Dark amber/ruby colour with almost no head, but still with some lacing. Hoppy nose with spruce needles, resin , grapefruit, fresh hops and, as stated in the commercial description, summer meadows. Fruity, hoppy taste with orange peel, grapefruit, flowers and prunes. Slightly sweet taste, the hops tend to dominate the nose more than the taste. Very nice and hoppy beer, leaning in the american IPA tradition.

Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm. Deep amber with rich creamy head. Strong hop aroma of grapefruit and lychee. Sweet and dense with clean caramely malt character and loads of perfumy lychee-like hops. Lightly roasty with lingering bitter finish. Surprisingly balanced. Extremely American style with it’s massive hop content and clean mouhfeel. A 1.9xIPA?

(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg) Me and Marsiblursi "had to" drink several pints of another, not very nice, beer to get to this one, before we got this beer on tap where the other one used to be. Rating: Shady brown color, tan head. Very nice fresh fruity hoppy scent, smells like summer meadows. Spruce and pine, green hops. Bitter fruity hoppy nice taste, dry. Great bitterness!! Nice smooth mouthfeel.
