Bottle, source not recorded. Poured dark amber in colour with a creamy, lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, cranberry, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Fairly sweet, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at the gin winter ale festival. Dark reddish brown pour clear with a thin greyish off white head. Aroma is dried fruits cranberry and raisin. Some sweet cara malt and English esters. Flavour is sweet caramel dried fruits malty and hint of treacle. Very nice condition palate is smooth and lowish carbed. Hint of warming winter spices in the finish. Good malt driven beer.

Cask@The Fat Cat Pub, Norwich. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is mild spies, malts, some toasted notes as well as some nuttyness. Flavour is toasted malts, quite spicy notes (clove, cinnamon and mild coriander) and some wooden notes as well. Pleasantly balanced.

Cask (handpump) @ Smithfield Hotel & Bar, Manchester M4, UK. Clear dark amber color with a average, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate cinnamon, clove, cold glögg. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (160108)
